Let me tell you something about Hemingway, Jack…

Ol’ Papa may not have been the best at staying hydrated in the hot sun of Southern Spain (the inspiration for The Sun Also Rises), but he sure was good at drinking wine.

And that wine came, as was the custom, straight out of the barrel and into these brilliantly designed leather canteens. 

As he and the peoples of rural Spain shared endless squeeze after squeeze, the budding master of dialogue soon grew into the powerhouse of Manly-literature that he is today.
