This stunning Axe is hand-carved and forged from top to bottom. Forged in approximately 1,370°C (2500°F) fire, we have folded and hammered the combined 1095 and 15n20 steel together forging an axe with around 520 true layered Damascus steel blade. The head of this exquisite masterpiece has a beautiful bearded style that features a lower hook meant for hooking and pulling down an opponent’s weapon. This solidly made axe is great for outdoor use. The pull/butt of the head offers a unique curved design with a stylish opening gap. The custom made Damascus steel head has a Rockwell rating of 58 to 60 HRC. The Damascus material is characterized by multiple bands and mottling welded together in a patterned fashion to create decorative blades. The beautifully designed handle is made from black walnut wood with a pecan stained, polished finish and floral carvings on both sides. A genuine handcrafted cow leather sheath is included and has a beautiful stamped pattern and features a 1.75 inch loop.
