Every family has the dad with a story for everything: the summer job that went sideways, the fish that keeps getting bigger, the road trip nobody lets him forget. He tells them at every holiday. This journal is where they finally get written down, so the kids have them long after the table gets quiet.
The cover reads like a vintage almanac: his title across the top, TALL TALES in bold block letters, a compass rose in the middle and Stories, Advice, Adventures along the bottom. Pick the line under the title that sounds like him, from a wink ("mostly true, as told by Dad") to something sweeter ("& the lessons that came with them"). Choose Pop's, Papa's or Grandpa's at the top and it works just as well for Grandpa.
Give it at Christmas with a note asking for one story a week. By next Christmas, the family has a book nobody else could have written.
How to Personalize
- Choose your cover color: Brown (gold engraving), Gray (dark engraving) or Black (silver engraving).
- Choose whose tales they are: Dad's, Pop's, Papa's or Grandpa's.
- Type the line under the title. Ideas: "& true stories for the kids", "mostly true, as told by Dad", "from the man who was there" or "& the lessons that came with them". Up to 34 characters.
- Optional: add a short bottom line, such as "Dad since 1994" or "The Miller Family". Up to 24 characters, or leave it blank.
